When registering at Motorcycle World online, we will ask you to provide us with your personal details.  This information is essential for the processing of your order and to keep you posted regarding the status of your order.

Your details will be kept in the strictest confidence by Motorcycle World and not sold or shared with third parties.

Cookies

Cookies are minute files, stored on your computer. Motorcycle World Online uses these files to remember the preferences selected, eg. items in your basket as well as various other settings which make a smoother user experience.  Cookies are important for optimal functioning of most shopping websites.

How your order gets to you:
 
DELIVERIES

  • Physical goods will be delivered by courier from our store in Parow, Cape Town or on occasion directly from the supplier, to the delivery address specified by the buyer on the checkout form. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that there is someone at the shipping address during office hours, to receive the delivery.
  • Where Postnet is selected as the preferred delivery method at checkout, counter to counter service will be utilized.
  • Virtual goods, in the form of a voucher/s redeemable by the purchaser at Motorcycle World Online or at the Motorcycle World store in Parow, are emailed to the buyer as soon as payment has been made and confirmed. The voucher number is embedded in the body of your email confirmation. (The security of this voucher number becomes the responsibility of the buyer)
  • Motorcycle World offers free shipping for orders exceeding R1500.00incl. VAT to major centers within South Africa, alternatively for orders valued below R1500.00 or outlying areas, a fixed delivery charge will be added to the order amount at checkout.
  • The delivery fee will be visible to you before you make payment.
  • Once payment of an order has been made, an email will be sent to the buyer, providing key information including the estimated delivery date of the order.
  • Larger items, such as helmets etc. are sent using Economy Service which may take 2-4 working days or in the case of outlying areas 3-7 working days. Smaller items will be sent via an Express service where possible & at the discretion Motorcycle World staff, in this case delivery would take place on the next working day from dispatch.
  • Generally expected delivery times are as follows if the item is stocked in our store:
    – Local delivery (CPT) – 1-2 working days
    – Other Major centers – 2-4 working days 
    – Regional areas – 3-7 working days
    – Outlying areas – 3-7 working days
  • Orders placed from Friday at 17h00 to Monday 08h30 would be processed on Monday morning.
  • If Motorcycle World is unable to meet the estimated delivery date we shall not be held liable for any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, charges or expenses arising out of late delivery.
  • You acknowledge that stock of all Goods on offer is limited and that pricing may change at any time without notice to you. In the case of Goods for sale by Motorcycle World, stock levels are automatically adjusted by our system, but imputs are still made by humans and as such a mistake is a possibility although we will make every possible effort to avoid it. When stock is no longer available, offers thereof are discontinued on the Website or the item will be labeled as out of stock. However, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of stock. In the unlikely event that Goods are no longer available after placing an order, Motorcycle World will notify you and you will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid by you for such Goods.
  • Motorcycle World will NEVER offer any goods for free (zero cost) to you through the online store, in the event this happens, please alert us & we will fix this error.
  • Motorcycle World does not deliver to Post Office boxes.
  • Your order can be tracked in your account at any time, please contact us if you experience any difficulties in this regard.

RETURNS

Criteria for return requests

  • Requests for returns must be logged in writing within 7 working days of the delivery date.
  • Please click here for return request form.
  • Item/s must be unused, in a re-sellable condition & in their original packaging, with labels attached, undamaged.
  • In the event, the item/s being returned is due to no error from Motorcycle World, a collection & replacement charge may be levied.

Return instructions

  • Direct returns to our store should be addressed to: Motorcycle World - 220 Voortrekker Road, Parow, 7500.
  • Our team will contact you to make arrangements for a pickup when electing to make use of our courier service. Alternatively you may choose to use a carrier of your choice for return shipping, but please note that this option should be prepaid, as COD packages will not be accepted.
  • Once the returned item has been inspected and is back in stock, we will send a Voucher to the same value of the item purchased to use on our site or process a refund or exchange.

The following items are not returnable

  • Underwear, such as base layers, balaclavas, socks, etc.
  • Items that have been used or taken for a ride, except where defective.
  • Any electronic part removed from packaging or packing seal broken.
  • Any parts that show signs of fitment or attempted fitment.
  • Any tools or chemicals where the packing seal was broken or opened.

Please note the following:

  • Return requests will be approved at the discretion of Motorcycle World.
  • Products will not be eligible for return if they have been partially or entirely disassembled, physically altered, permanently installed, affixed, attached, joined or added to, blended or combined with, or embedded within, other goods or property. This includes products & packaging that have been worn or damaged.
  • We do not accept returns after 7 working days, but we will look at each return request and approve at our discretion.
  • Shipping and handling charges are not refundable, unless an order has arrived damaged, faulty, incorrect or missing. Our team will use their discretion to evaluate whether a refund for shipping and handling may be waivered.
  • Except in the case of a defect, we will not accept returns of items that have been worn. Please note that Motorcycle World is not responsible for returning the item/s to you in this case. This will be determined by Motorcycle World staff.
  • A separate box must be used to send items back with the original box inside. The original box cannot be used as packaging for shipping.
  • Any returns without the original packaging or with damaged packaging will be returned back to sender and not be refunded.
  • Once a request for a return has been logged and approved, you will be sent an email to confirm that our courier partner will arrange a collection date and time with you.
  • Please ensure that the item/s are in the packaging that you received them in, and that you include the original order invoice.
  • Collection and return to our store can take up to 4 working days for Main centres, and 8 working days for outlying/regional areas from the date of logging a return.

REFUNDS

  • All approved returns will by default be refunded by way of a voucher to the value of the item   (code sent via e-mail and used to purchase on the website or in-store). Please contact us to arrange a cash refund (refund back into the card/ account used to make the purchase).
  • In the case of items received incorrect/damaged/faulty – your return will be refunded by way of a voucher or cash (refund back into the card/ account used to make the purchase) to the value of the item & delivery fee (if applicable) given this was the only item purchased. Please notify us of such products as soon as possible.
  • Please visit our website & complete the contact us page or give us a call if there is anything further we can assist with, or if there are any special circumstances that would need to be discussed.
  • In the event the item is damaged or the incorrect item was received we will request an image from you, along with the barcode, as well as a description of how the product is faulty. Please ensure to keep all original packaging. We will ensure the correct/new product is delivered to you (subject to stock availability) or you will receive a full refund by way of a voucher or cash (refund back into the card used to make the purchase)

Warrantee/ Guarantee

Products will generally carry a manufacturer warrantee/ guarantee, the terms and timespan that such warrantees/ guarantees carry will vary from one manufacturer to the next. Motorcycle World does not offer any direct warrantee on products, but will make every effort to assist in legitimate Warrantee claims.

Please note: Products returned for warrantee/guarantee claims in majority of cases will have to be assessed and approved by a representative from the Distributor of such products. This process may take up to 7 days, before we can advise intent to: replace, repair or reject.
